West Elm King Coastal Bed

Coastal Beds that will make you want to Seas the Day

I’ve scoured the internet for our top Coastal King bed picks.

When I think of Coastal, I think beach tones, sky, sea, sand, and natural elements.

There are SO many options for Coastal beds. It was very fun searching for my top picks.

I wanted to really hone in on the natural aspect of the coast in this blog post.

I hope y’all love what I found.

Splurge:

This splurge from West Elm is absolutely beautiful. It inhabits the coastal vibe to a T. With the natural rattan and white trim I think it would make any coastal bedroom stand out. This is a solid wood bed made in Indonesia. The West Elm website notes that it is also contract grade which means that it is built to last which makes splurging a little easier.

Pros:

  1. Sustainably Source
  2. Durability
  3. White Glove Service: will set up and remove packaging

Cons:

  1. A little Pricey
  2. No Reviews

Top Review: No reviews

Top Bad Review: No reviews

Steal:

This steal from Plank and Beam is gorgeous. It has the same natural color with a white trim as the splurge. The only thing this steal is missing is the rattan. If you have kids, the rattan may be something you can do without. I personally love this option, it being wood instead of rattan makes it a little more durable. This is actually the bed I picked for our guest room and we absolutely love it. You get a designer look for a fraction of the cost. It is an all around win.

Pros:

  1. Durability
  2. Solid Wood
  3. Sustainably Sourced
  4. Cost effective

Cons:

  1. No white glove service

Top Review:  Solid bed: This appears to be well-made and solid. It delivers on what’s promised.

Top Bad Review: None

Best Reviews:

This bed comes with high reviews and a high price. It serves the look of the natural and white that I was looking for. This bed is made of steel instead of wood and has wood veneers glued onto the steel. It’s not for me but the reviews will say otherwise. This is a loved purchase by many. It has a low profile headboard and is very modern.

Pros:

  1. Durable
  2. Made in the United States

Cons:

  1. Wood veneer
  2. $99 dollar full service delivery (white glove is not included in price)

Top Review:

Solid, attractive, well made piece. Needed a bed with a low profile headboard to fit in front of big window. But didn’t want a bed that was too low to the ground. This is perfect.

Top Bad Review: I had to place cotton pads under every slat to stop the noise from being so loud it would wake my son up at any movement

Gotta Have:

For the Gotta Have I usually pick something different than what I’ve chosen in the above listings but since I have this bed, I have to choose the Plank and Beam Natural and White bed. We love it and it’s such a great price with a very high end look and feel.

Here’s a picture of what it looks like in our home:

That wraps up my picks for the best coastal white and natural tone beds. These two-toned beds were top picks for me. What would you have chosen? Want to see something added to my list? Let me know at shelly@pleasantinteriors.com
